A symmetrical, steep classical stratovolcano rises majestically about 2000m from the East Africal Rift Valley depression to a summit elevation of 2886 (9524 ft) To the Maasai people, it is home of God, which is also the meaning of the name. Day 1: Arrival Day Your trip leader will pick you up upon your arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport. A car will take you to your hotel.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area Leave Moshi early in the morning to Ngorongoro Crater for Game drive with packed lunch until 3pm then drive to Enokanoka Camp for Dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Enokanoka to Bulati Camp Today you will meet up with you Maasai guides and donkeys that will be caring all your gear.   We will hike through the Highlands for about 4 hours.

Day 4: Bulati to Embakai Crater Camp You will continue your trek from Bulati to Embakiai Crater where you will get to see the beautiful flamingos.  Hiking time is about 4 hrs.

Day 5: Embakai to Naiyobi Camp You will continue your highlands trek to Naiyobi Camp Hiking time is about 3-4hours.

Day 6: Nayoibi to Kamakia Camp In the morning you will hike from Naiyobi to Kamakia. The hiking time is about 3 hours.  After lunch we will visit the waterfalls and a Masaai boma.  Early to bed in preparation for our early morning 2.00 a.m. drive to the base of the Oldonyo Lengai.

Day 7: Climb Oldonyo Lengai/Moshi We will rise early at 2 am to drive to the base of Ol Doinyo Lengai to start the climb. We will reach the summit around Sunrise and spend about 30 minutes exploring the volcano before coming down to the base of the mountain.  From there clients will be transferred by jeep to Kamakia camp for a brief rest and then we will continue on to Moshi.
